| HOW DOES WATER FILTRATION WORK WITH THE FILTERING BOTTLE?
- Water passes through the hollow fiber of the ultrafiltration membrane (filter).
- Hollow fibers have holes 0.01 microns in diameter. Thus all microorganisms having a diameter greater than that of the fibers are retained. The filter can filter 99.99% of bacteria (E.coli), protozoa (Giardia, cryptosporidium) in water. Laboratory tests are planned to prove that it can also filter most viruses that may be encountered while traveling.
- The water then passes from the ultrafiltering membrane to the escape where the activated carbon is stored. The activated carbon will eliminate odors from the water and reduce its turbidity .
This water filtration system requires no harmful chemicals, no external power supply .

WHAT IS THE WEIGHT OF THE FILTER BOTTLE AND FILTER? AND WHAT ARE THEIR DIMENSIONS?
The filter bottle weighs 247 g (filter included) for 28.5 cm in height for a diameter of 7.9 cm and an opening of 4.5 cm in diameter. The filter measures 20 cm and weighs 62 g.
WHAT MATERIAL IS THE FILTERING BOTTLE?
We use medical grade Platinum silicone, BPA free.
MY FILTERING BOTTLE TASTES LIKE PLASTIC, WHAT DO I DO?
The taste of new may be present at the start of use. Here are the different possibilities to make it disappear: - filter 3 to 5 times the volume of the bottle to activate the filter - put boiling water in the bottle and let it cool (without the filter inside) - put boiling water and a tea bag (without the filter inside) - wash the bottle in the dishwasher If the taste persists, you can check the position of the activated carbon inside the bottle. The small sachet must be correctly placed to neutralize any unpleasant taste. To do this, its position must force the water to pass through it, and not alongside it. It must therefore fill the entire surface. If you haven't tried one of these options, can you try it to see if it makes any difference to the taste please? If the situation persists, even with the activated carbon correctly positioned, you can contact us so that we can find a solution together.
IS THE FILTERING BOTTLE EFFECTIVE?
Our bottle filters all particles larger than 0.01 microns. It is the filter membrane which filters bacteria, parasites and particles. It has been specifically designed to make your water drinkable wherever you are.
WHEN SHOULD YOU CHANGE THE FILTER?
The filter can be used to filter 1000 L of water. That's about a year and a half of daily use. You will know that you need to change it when you can no longer suck up the water with it.
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF ACTIVATED CARBON?
The activated carbon present in the upper removable part of our filter (which is changed every 100 L) captures pollutants and heavy metals. It also neutralizes the taste.
Ultra-Filtering Membrane: 1000 L Activated Carbon: 100 L You can continue to use the filter bottle without changing the activated carbon. You will simply no longer have the benefits of it.
WHAT TO DO IF THE FILTER HAS DISCONNECTED FROM MY FILTERING BOTTLE CAP?
If the filter has come loose from the cap of the bottle, filtration is no longer taking place. This can happen if it has not been set up correctly. It is therefore important not to drink the water from the bottle if you find yourself in this situation. If the bottle was empty, and the filter has not been in contact with contaminated water, you will simply have to put it back in place. If, however, it has found itself completely immersed in contaminated water, you should first rinse it completely with clean water and clean the upper part (gray) with soap or dishwashing liquid. Secondly, you will need to change the activated carbon (or remove it if you do not have a spare), before putting the filter back in position. If your bottle was not in a vertical position, also remember to clean the inside of the filter support because it is in contact with the neck. The filter should normally hold in place on its own and should not fall. If this happens frequently, we invite you to contact our after-sales service to check that you are positioning the filter correctly.
HOW TO KNOW IF THE FILTER IS CORRECTLY IN PLACE?
The filter is held in the filter support using gaskets. It must be inserted as deeply as possible into the filter holder. Installation requires a little force. It's totally normal. Likewise, it is a bit difficult to remove the filter. The filter should therefore not fall on its own if it has been correctly installed. However, you must always check that the filter is in position before drinking from the bottle. If you use the bottle as recommended, in a vertical position, the filter is used like a straw. If it is not connected to the cap, rest assured, you will not be able to suck up the water. If, however, you use the bottle like a "normal" bottle, by turning it upside down, the water can reach the neck, even without a filter. This is why we always advise you to start by drinking vertically to ensure that the filter is properly in place. If, however, you prefer to drink in the other position, you will be alerted that the filter is not in place if you notice that the flow is unusually high. In this case or if in doubt, do not swallow the water and check the position of the filter. The flow rate of water passing through the filter is reduced by mechanical filtration. A high flow rate should therefore alert you.
WHAT TO DO IF MY GOURD GETS PUNCTURED?
Silicone is designed to absorb shock. However, it will not resist tears if it comes into contact with pointed or sharp objects. If you notice that your bottle has a hole, you can possibly try to apply a temporary patch to plug the leak. If this is not enough, you have the option of ordering only the replacement part (silicone bottle body) to avoid having to replace the entire bottle.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY FILTERING BOTTLE?
You can put your filter bottle (excluding filter and activated carbon) in the dishwasher. You can also wash it by hand with dishwashing liquid. Cleaning of this type is recommended once a week if possible. We also recommend rinsing the bottle and its elements at the end of the day after use. To avoid bad odors, it is imperative to always let the bottle dry with the neck open so as not to trap any moisture. Activated charcoal must be rinsed after use and can dry flat, in the open air or in the fabric bag provided with the bottle. The filter should be rinsed with cold or lukewarm water for the white part. The gray upper part can be cleaned with dishwashing liquid. The filter must dry in the open air or in the fabric bag provided with the bottle. If, however, you wish to use the bottle immediately after rinsing/cleaning, you can of course put all the elements back in place and fill your bottle.
HOW TO STORE THE BOTTLE IF NOT IN USE?
If you know that you are not going to use the bottle soon, you can clean it (see above). Once all the elements are completely dry, you can store the bottle, in the folded position, as well as all its elements, in the fabric bag provided with the bottle. Everything can then be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. When you want to use the bottle again, simply reactivate the filter by filtering a small quantity of water as described in the user guide.
